Your Advocacy


On Feb 2, 2018, the Director of Advocacy resigned their position from the students’ union. MUNSU’s Board of Directors heard the official resignation later on the agenda of the Feb 7, 2018 meeting. Duties have been discussed and delegated by other executive directors where possible; The staff-person Resource Coordinator shall act as the main correspondent through redirected email and in-person (due to availability and training on University Regulations). Other representatives and executive continue to execute their duties on various committees where students’ appeals cases are heard. Students can continue to avail of Advocacy services from the MUN Students’ Union.

As more information on this process comes to light, the Board of Directors will act to inform the student membership in the most appropriate and efficient ways possible.


The MUN Students’ Union is here to support you when you need it most. Through the Director of Advocacy, the Union ensures that all members are being treated fairly and with respect, whether it is a situation involving a professor, University regulations, housing, the legal system, or student financial assistance. All information, advice and conversations are held in a confidential and safe space.

Although not mandatory, relevant documents for example a course syllabus, correspondence, etc can help provide context and understanding of your situation. All information provided will remain confidential.
